On the 21st I joined this slightly bonkers, but very happy crew in celebrating the shortest day with a bleak mid winter swim. What a way to mark the depth of winter. The smiling faces say it all.
Wild swimming has been proven to help those suffering form depression, and whilst it seems such a crazy thing to do the body amazingly starts to become accustomed to the cold water, getting in gets easier and the feeling you get afterwards is incredible, you feel exceptionally alive!
It’s an amazing thing to do, dont knock it till you’ve tried it.
